How to use the Word Unscrambler
Enter your available letters, choose the common or extended dictionary, and review matches from longest to shortest.
How it works
A word unscrambler checks whether each candidate can be made from the letters you provide, including repeated letters. Results are grouped by length so you can look for the highest-value or longest possibilities first. The common dictionary favours familiar everyday words, while the extended dictionary includes a broader word-game vocabulary.
Example: With the letters triangle, possible results include integral, relating, triangle, alert and train. A letter can only be used as many times as it appears in your input.
What to keep in mind
Word lists differ between games and publishers. A result here is a candidate, not a guarantee that a particular tournament, app or puzzle will accept it. Check the official dictionary for the game you are playing.
Frequently asked questions
Why are the results grouped by length?
Longer words are often more useful in anagrams and can score more highly in many word games. Grouping also makes a large result set easier to scan.
Can I enter repeated letters?
Yes. Repeated letters are counted individually, so entering two copies allows a result to use that letter twice.
