Wordle Solver
How to use the Wordle Solver
Enter green letters in their exact positions, add yellow letters as present, and list grey letters as excluded.
How it works
The Wordle solver filters five-letter candidates using known positions, letters that must appear and letters that are excluded. It ranks matches using two historical lists: the original 2,315 hand-picked solutions and the complete 14,855-word valid-guess list.
Example: For the pattern __u_e with A, D, I, Q, O, T, P, R and N excluded, fluke and flume appear as likely solution candidates. Rare accepted guesses such as glume and kluge are shown separately below them.
What to keep in mind
The solution grouping is based on the original historical answer set, not a promise about the current edited game. The editor can add, remove or choose words independently, while some accepted guesses may never be used as daily answers. Repeated-letter clues can also be subtle: a grey occurrence does not always exclude a letter if another copy is confirmed elsewhere.
Frequently asked questions
What does an underscore mean?
It marks an unknown position. Keep the pattern five characters long.
Which candidate list should I choose?
Use the combined view when you want maximum coverage. Choose likely solutions only when you want to hide words that were historically accepted as guesses but were not in the original answer set.
Does the likely-solutions group contain every future answer?
No. It uses the original 2,315-word solution set as a practical ranking signal, but only the game owner can define and change the current answer list.
Is this affiliated with Wordle?
No. Tool Orchard is an independent utility and is not endorsed by the game’s owner.
